Contemplatives in Action
Contemplatives in Action is an urban ministry and retreat experience for New Orleans residents who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina and the city’s subsequent flooding. In addition to providing office space and resting space for local leaders, Contemplatives in Action coordinates volunteers and provides Katrina Education in order to create a more thoughtful response to our current situtation.
Driving Tours can be scheduled any time during your stay in New Orleans. The suggested cost for each person is $20 for an approximately 2.5 hour tour of about a 40 mile perimeter of New Orleans.
New Orleans Marriott
As our preferred housing partner, the New Orleans Marriott offers a volunteer rate of $84/night (taxes included) for a double room that can accommodate up to 4 people. Located in the French Quarter at 555 Canal Street, the New Orleans Marriott is at the center of the action!
